Cbd 101-Cannabidiol, is now a huge part of our routine health. Health practitioners are starting to recommend CBD oils for the treatment of pain related ailments such as chronic pain, sleeplessness, arthritis, anxiety, migraines (headaches) and inflammation. Also since 2018 CBD has become a great solution to help  treat US Veterans with PTSD, depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
Our EndoCannabinoid System controls various basic functions in your body in order to create a stable internal environment. The EndoCannabiniond system consists of various, naturally occurring cannabinoids.

Cannabinoids essentially allow communication and coordination between many aspects of your body and mind.

Specifically, cannabinoids interact with two primary receptors in your body: CB1 and CB2.

CB1 receptors are mainly associated with the mind/brain, and play a role in sleep, appetite, emotion, mood, and memory.

CB2 receptors are mainly associated with the body, and are found in the immune system, glands, and the gastrointestinal system. CB2 receptors are often associated with anti-inflammatory work. This is how cbd works on those receptors.

CBD oils have anti-inflammatory properties, which can reuse the immune system inflammatory responses. If we look at the immune system the opposites are anti-inflammation(-) and Inflammation(+) when those two things are in balance and your immune system functioning properly (homeostasis). The stronger your immune system ability to be in homeostasis is the more robust your capacity to be in homeostasis is the healthier you are. When you introduce cbd to our complex physiology in the immune system the cascade of homeostasis works as a system unlike prescription drugs they only target a certain area. So Cbd carries a cascade of homeostasis in the immune system. Thanks to a scientist that discovered the endo-cannabiniod system and how cbd works in 1992.

Experienced cannabis users may be skeptical to try products high in CBD because they are accustomed to the “high” feeling associated with cannabis products high in THC, and don’t see the point of something that doesn’t produce this effect. While some swear by CBD as the miracle compound, the benefits associated with CBD are often enhanced when combined with small amounts of THC.

Because of the immense amount of research being done on the CBD cannabinoid, recently, people looking for relief from serious medical conditions are seeking out CBD as an alternative to narcotic medications. In this case, patients are often not looking for the “high” feeling associated with THC, but rather, strictly the medical benefits of the plant.

Full Spectrum

Full spectrum whole hemp extract refers to as pure oil that contains the complete plant profile of the same cannabinoid present in the original hemp plant providing as all natural CBD hemp oil extract supplement that allows the cannabinoids to work together in what is known as the “entourage affect” to achieve a natural state of homeostasis in the body.

Isolate is a crystalline solid or powder that contains 99% pure cannabinoid. It’s a traditional extraction process removes all the active compounds from the cannabis  plant followed by a refinement process that strips away all the other phytocannabinoids, including THC, and any plant matter, leaving behind nothing but the cannabinoids chemical compound in its purest form.

Cannabinol is a phytocannabinoids discovered in 1940. It is one of over 100 plus identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants and accounts for up to 40% of the plants extract.

CBC

Cannabichromene is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. Like cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBC is created through the process of decarboxylation. When exposed to heat and ultraviolet light, CBCA then becomes CBC. CBC was first discovered over 50 years ago and is considered one of the ”major” cannabinoids, but there is still a lot to discover.

CBG

CBDA

Cannabigerol is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid which is typically most abundant and low THC and high CBD cannabis strains, including hemp. Like THC, CBD reacts with the cannabinoid receptors in the brain. CBG, however, acts as a buffer to the psychoactivity of THC by working to alleviate the paranoia sometimes caused by higher levels of THC.

Cannabidiolic acid is a non-psychoactive in the acidic precursor to CBD. CBD a can be found in the line or raw form of cannabis, particularly in the hemp plant and strains bred to cultivate higher CBD levels. CBDA convert to CBD through decarboxylation, which occurs when cannabis is exposed to heat or sunlight.

CBDV

Cannabidivarin, is mainly found in C.Indica from Northwest India, and in hashish from Nepal. It’s a non-psychoactive that will not result in the “high“euphoric feeling. It was identified for the first time in 1969 by Vollner et al.

THCV

Tetrahydrocannabivarin may appear similar to THC but it produces a different set of affects in the body. THCV is a psychoactive compound primarily in cannabis sativa strains. THCV can also be used as an appetite suppressant.

THCA

Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid is a precursor of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), with the active component of cannabis. THCA is the raw, non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and converts to THC when it is dried in heated.

CBN

CBN is a Non-intoxicating compound that is best known as the cannabinoids created when THC ages. So it’s present in high amounts in older cannabis usually. While some might be turned off by this, others seek out older cannabis for the effects of CBN.
